AiSED Joins the China–ASEAN Education Cooperation Week to Advance a Cross-Border Talent Development Ecosystem for Digital Trade and Artificial Intelligence

On 29 July 2026, the 2026 China–ASEAN Education Cooperation Week, themed "Empowering a Shared Future through Smart Education", officially opened in Guiyang, China. As an active contributor to this flagship regional education initiative, AiSED participated extensively in the event by collaborating with the Alibaba Global Digital Talent, Linyang Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd., Asia e University (AeU), and other strategic partners to launch a series of industry–education integration initiatives. Together, the partners are building a cross-border talent development ecosystem for digital trade and artificial intelligence, supporting the internationalisation of China's vocational education across ASEAN.

During the 2026 China–ASEAN Education Cooperation Week, AiSED worked closely with the Alibaba Global Digital Talent Education Alliance and ASEAN partners to successfully organise the China–ASEAN Digital Trade Education and Industry Cooperation Training Programme, while jointly supporting the launch of multiple strategic initiatives, including the China–ASEAN Occupational Competency Standard for Commercial Artificial Intelligence Development Engineers.

Key achievements included:

• Addressing the gap in cross-border AI talent standards by jointly launching the China–ASEAN Occupational Competency Group Standard for Commercial Artificial Intelligence Trainers, together with leading industry, education, and international partners.

• Participating in the launch ceremony of the China–ASEAN International Alliance for Industry–Education Integration in the Grain Sector, promoting regional collaboration in vocational education and industry development.

• Facilitating the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Asia e University and Shandong Business Institute, laying the foundation for deeper cooperation in digital commerce and AI-enabled vocational education.

• Facilitating the signing of a strategic cooperation agreement between Asia e University and Alibaba Linyang Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd., strengthening collaboration in digital talent cultivation, curriculum development, and industry-oriented training.

Looking ahead, AiSED will continue to leverage its role as a strategic bridge between ASEAN and China, connecting technology enterprises, international organisations, universities, and industry partners to deepen cooperation in industry–education integration and cross-border talent development. Through these collaborative efforts, AiSED aims to cultivate a new generation of AI-enabled professionals for the ASEAN market while contributing fresh momentum to digital economy cooperation and industrial synergy between ASEAN and China.
