JAKARTA, INDONESIA — In a significant stride toward regional economic transformation, the Asia Institute of Sustainability Entrepreneurship and Diplomacy (AiSED) , as the sub-regional secretariat to the Southeast Asia Chapter of the UNESCO Entrepreneurship Education Network (EE-Net) participated in the GEN Indonesia Annual Meeting held in Jakarta on February 5th. 2026

The meeting served as a high-level forum to align strategic visions between AiSED and Indonesia’s leading entrepreneurial networks. Representing AiSED’s mission, the delegation underscored the institute’s dual role as a catalyst for sustainable development and as the Southeast Asia chapter of the UNESCO Entrepreneurship Education Network (EE-Net).
Strategic Pillar: Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES) 2026
The primary objective of the meeting was the foundational planning for the Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES) in November 2026. AiSED and GEN Indonesia have an understanding for a strategic collaboration to ensure the summit serves as a landmark event, positioning Indonesia as the epicenter of global innovation and inclusive growth.
A Convergence of Diplomacy and Community
The meeting was marked by the presence of key international and national partners, highlighting the "Diplomacy" pillar of AiSED’s mission:
Global Solidarity: Dr. Wael, Secretary General of SKSEED, joined the discussions to represent the interests and collaborative potential of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) countries.
National Impact: Dr. Dessy, representative of the national chapter of UNESCO EE-Net Indonesia, provided critical insights into AiSED’s community-centric projects, ensuring that the high-level goals of GES 2026 translate into measurable local impact.
